Who
is The Design Effect?
The Design Effect is run by Dean Duchesne, who is also the founder,
creator, and project manager. His first experience with a computer,
came when he was just 5 years old. Dean was raised around computers
his whole life. Growing up, his hobby was playing video games. Soon
his pattern recognition, hand eye coordination, and problem solving
started to excel, as well as his passion for computers. At the age
of 14 he learned html, and wrote his first web site.
With over 5 years experience in the Construction Industry. Dean
gained an exemplary work ethic, and a keen eye for detail. He takes
pride in all his work. As sub-contract insulation installer, Dean
never failed a pre-drywall inspection due to the quality of his work.
Dean has over 2 years experience in Retail / Grocery. Working in
a small grocery store in northern B.C.. Management quickly recognized
Dean's problem solving skills and promoted him to senior stock clerk.
He was in charge of the ordering, shipping and receiving of grocery
stock, and delegating duties to other stock clerks. Dean quickly
excelled in the grocery department and was trained in both produce
and meat departments.
Dean has now completed the "Multimedia Web Developer Certificate
Program" at Red Deer College. He plans to continue multimedia
and web design. Currently a freelance web developer, he operates
under the name "The Design Effect."
